Connect ChatMaxima MCP with Claude

Overview

This guide shows how to connect ChatMaxima MCP with Claude so Claude can build chatbots, WhatsApp templates and WhatsApp Flows in your workspace. ChatMaxima is added to Claude as a custom connector. You paste one URL, sign in to ChatMaxima once, choose the workspace to connect, and Claude can then use ChatMaxima tools in any chat.

Custom connectors work in Claude on the web at claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app, on plans that support connectors. The connection uses OAuth 2.1, so you never paste an API key into Claude.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• A ChatMaxima account with a role that can use the builder, templates or Flows.
• A Claude plan that supports custom connectors.
• The MCP URL: https://chatmaxima.com/mcp

Step 1: Open the connectors settings

1. Open Claude on the web at claude.ai, or open the Claude desktop app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Open the Connectors section.

Step 2: Add ChatMaxima as a custom connector

1. Click Add custom connector (also shown as "Add connector").
2. Enter a name, for example ChatMaxima.
3. In the URL field, paste:

https://chatmaxima.com/mcp

4. Confirm to add the connector.

Note: Claude discovers the sign-in details from the URL automatically. You do not need to enter a client id, secret or any token.

Step 3: Sign in and pick your workspace

1. Click Connect on the ChatMaxima connector.
2. A ChatMaxima window opens. Sign in to your ChatMaxima account.
3. If you belong to more than one team, choose the workspace you want Claude to access.
4. Review what the connector can do, then click Approve.

Claude is now connected. The connector shows as connected in your settings.

Step 4: Use ChatMaxima in a chat

1. Start a new chat in Claude.
2. Make sure the ChatMaxima connector is enabled for the chat.
3. Ask Claude to build something, for example:

Using ChatMaxima, create a lead qualification chatbot for a fitness studio.
Greet the visitor, ask their fitness goal and preferred time, capture their
name and phone number, then hand off to a human agent. Run a test when done.

Claude will call ChatMaxima tools to create the bot, add and connect blocks, organize the canvas and run a test. Open the bot in your ChatMaxima dashboard to review and publish it.

What Claude can do once connected

Manage or revoke access

• In Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, and remove or disconnect ChatMaxima.
• In ChatMaxima: open Settings, then Connected Apps, and revoke the connection. It stops working immediately.

Troubleshooting

The connect window does not open or sign-in fails

1. Confirm the URL is exactly https://chatmaxima.com/mcp.
2. Allow pop-ups for Claude so the ChatMaxima sign-in window can open.
3. Try connecting again from Settings then Connectors.

Claude does not list any ChatMaxima tools

1. Confirm your role in the selected workspace has builder, template or Flow access.
2. Disconnect and reconnect so Claude refreshes the tool list.

Claude says it cannot save changes

1. Confirm your workspace plan is active. A Free or expired plan blocks saves.
2. Confirm you connected the correct workspace on the consent screen.
