Voice Messages - Record and Send Audio in the Inbox
Record a voice message straight from the inbox composer and send it to your customer on supported channels.
Overview
Voice Messages let you reply with audio instead of typing. Record a short message from the composer and send it to the customer, which is handy for warmer, more personal replies or when explaining something is faster spoken than written.
Record and send
- Open the conversation in the inbox
- Click the Record Voice action in the composer
- Allow microphone access if your browser asks
- Speak your message, then stop the recording
- Review it, then send it to the customer
Tip: The first time you record, your browser will ask for microphone permission. Allow it, or the recorder cannot capture audio.
Good to know
- Voice messages are supported on channels that allow audio, such as WhatsApp
- Incoming voice messages from customers appear in the conversation and can be played back inline
- Keep messages short and clear for the best experience
